Sugary-sweet

Thanks so much to all who came to Saturday’s social.  Lots of laughs, way too much ice cream, and the weather held out.  I’ve got some pictures and obviously a more detailed story up my sleeve, but am going to be busy at work today.  More soon.  (And perhaps I can even get PictoBrowser to work and set up a real slide show.  : ))

Rain plan

Well, the weather says that it should be clear in the afternoon, but in the event of hail, frogs, and other precipitation, I guess the rain plan will be Chez BLC.  If you think you are coming, please shoot me an email at bipolarlawyercook at gmail dot com and I will email you the address.

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday

Saturday, the 28th, 3 pm– The First Annual BLC Ice Cream Social. Larz Anderson Park, Brookline, MA, at picnic area 9– I am told it is right near the “Temple of Love.” BYO favorite flavor of ice cream, your favorite assortment of friends, family or pets, and a chair or a beach blanket — I will have some of my own ice cream favorites, some sundae and ice cream float makings (hmm, Alejna, pinko commies are in the air…) spoons, cups and bowls, napkins, and nametags. I haven’t yet convinced the Better Half to appear, however. Perhaps some clamor from fellow attendees will help? : )

Dry spell

Been busy with work, feeling a bit tired and bummed for no good reason, back later this week.  Promise.

Do YOU Five Star Friday?

A little bit ago, I got a link from the Blog Goddess Schmutzie, telling me that my chocolate truffles post was named as a Five Star Friday post, at her new site, appropriately called Five Star Friday.  How tickled was I to find out that it’s a round up of reader-submitted great posts of the week, and that someone thought my post was one of them, for the first-ever edition? I’ve found some great new-to-me writers following the postings Schmutzie’s been collecting every week, and I’ve been trying to pimp out some of my favorite posts from all y’all’s blogs while I am at it.  It’s a great way to find new folks to read, to nominate your fellow writers, and to explore beyond your corner of the web.
