The First Annual BLC Ice Cream Social

Mark your cal­en­dars, and thank Michelle for the sug­ges­tion.  The first annual Bipo­lar­Lawyer­Cook Ice Cream Social will take place the after­noon of June 28, 2008.  I will have lots of ice cream, but please BYO favorite fla­vors, and we’ll do what blog­gers and com­menters do best– talk amongst our­selves, argue about what’s best, and enjoy some tasty snacks while enjoy­ing one another’s com­pany.  Even if you’ve always lurked, and never left a com­ment, you’re invited.  It’s Boston, it’s sum­mer, and dadgum­mit, there is ice cream to be con­sumed.  I know you are up to the chal­lenge.  Time and loca­tion, TBA, but prob­a­bly at my house or a nearby park with pic­nic facil­i­ties.  (Umm, sweetie?  I planned some­thing for June 28…)

    I’d love to come but the air­fare would be out­ra­geous. I’m not sure which flavour of ice cream I’d choose: likely Ben & Jerry’s Half-Baked. This choice says a lot about me, eh? LOL!

    That sounds like fun! A cir­cle of hands joined for the love of ice cream…

    Okay, how about for peo­ple that live on the other side of the world and can’t make it, we mark our cal­en­ders (BLC annual ice cream soiree) and on that date and time we will dish out our favourite ice cream (Rocky Road) and enjoy it with you.

    It won’t be the same as being in the park on a lovely Boston after­noon, but then you must promise to post some pic­tures of the event so that we can live through the event vicariously!

    Oh, I’d love to come but I can’t! We’ve recently started mak­ing our own ice cream (and yogurt, and bread, and gorp, and…), and we’re really look­ing foward to berry sea­son. So far we’ve only been as adven­tur­ous as vanilla.

    I’d love a field trip to Boston to meet with the admired BLC AND to eat ice cream. I’ll see if the law profs here might let me count it for class credit.
