(While dri­ving to chez Sister-in-law for din­ner yes­ter­day, and tak­ing the nas­ti­est, trick­i­est left in the metro Boston area)
BH: I want to live in a tower. A big, tall tower. Like Barad-dum.
BLC: Barad-dur.
BH: Barad-dum.
BLC: No, Barad-dur. Khazad-dum is the dwarves’ hall. Barad-dur is the Tower.
(Silence fills the car.)
BLC: Um, did I just cor­rect you on a piece of Lord of the Rings trivia?
