A single weekend

The Better Half and his brother are going for a Man Hike this weekend, for which I’m glad. They don’t spend enough time together, just the two of them. Plus, although the BH swears he’s just a homebody, I worry about him doing (or not doing) stuff apart from me, since I don’t hesitate to go out and do my own thing if he’s not interested. But this weekend? Hmm. So many possibilities. I have lots of wonderful girlfriends, but I think a weekend alone would be really nice too. So far, the ideas include:

  1. Chunky Monkey
  2. Haagen-Dazs Dulce de Leche
  3. An Anne of Green Gables DVD Marathon
  4. Long baths
  5. Reading and blogging in bed
  6. DVD-athon of Beeb’s Pride and Prejudice and A & E’s Persuasion
  7. New fantasy and sci fi books
  8. A quick jaunt from the sofa to pick up a present for our friends’ impending wedding
  9. Ingredients for GF mac & cheese
  10. Hawaiian pizza with ketchup
  11. Mushroom pizza
  12. Cold pizza for breakfast
  13. Too much wine with “All of Me” or “My Blue Heaven” or “LA Story”

The possibilities are really endless.

  1. Massively jealous. When my better half is away, my daughter has free rein because I am too tired to say no! So it is cartoons, cookie-making and trips to the library’s children’s room to play toddler computer games ad nauseum.

ps — glad to have found you via our cranky bloggers group!
